About Us

We are not disabled, we have a gift

Our Story

The Iron County Sheltered Workshop is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through our thrift store, recycling programs, and community services, we help people build job skills, confidence, and independence. We accept donations of clothing, furniture, household items, and more, giving those items a second life while supporting our mission. In addition to operating our thrift store, we provide cardboard and plastic recycling services and sell laundry detergent to the community. Every purchase, donation, and recycling effort helps support our employees and programs. Here at The Iron County Sheltered Workshop, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work, contribute, and thrive in a supported environment.

Tracy put smile on faces all around town. She worked in the front and made an impression on so many lives. Tracy sadly passed in 2025 and she has never left our hearts since. Fly high Tracy, we miss you every day.
